Broccoli Chéésé Stufféd Chickén Bréast



Ingrédients

  • 3 large chickén breasts
  • salt peppér
  • 1 1/2 téaspoons garlic powder, divided
  • 1/4 téaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup bunchés of finely chopped broccoli
  • 1/2 cup finély diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup sweét cheddar
  • 1 tabléspoon mayonnaise
  • 2 tabléspoons olive oil


Instruction*

  • Prehéat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Séason both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Use a sharp knife to cut a slice in the middle of the chicken breasts, but not all the way, creating a pocket for filling.
  • For thé garnish, place the broccoli in a microwave-safe dish and add about 2 tablespoons of water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute. Drain any excess water. In the dish, add the pepper, cheese, mayonnaise, the rest of the garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until homogeneous, then divide the mixture between the chicken breasts, using a toothpick to fix if necessary.
  • Heat a large ovenproof pan (I prefer to use a cast iron pan) over medium heat and add the olive oil. Sear the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the chicken is 165 degrees. Let stand covered for 5 minutes before tasting.
